Happy Birthday Marisa!

Here's Marisa playing with some balloons on her birthday. She really is a monkey!

More of my musings . . .

For all you fans of Laura's artwork - have to admit I'm her biggest fan, probably jealous because she's painting better at 5 than I ever will! - here's another of her works . . .
She took this one in for news at school this week. She's becoming very abstract - this one is a painting of all of the different countries, each denoted by a separate colour. Australia is white because it's 'big'. The black marks are houses and the red dots are people. She may have been influenced by the aboriginal art we looked at at the Art Gallery in Shepp.

The lovely Laura - Brown Brothers become much more interesting when a face-painting, balloon animal making clown turned up!

One cheeky little monkey - none of us can resist this cheeky grin. I took a photo because she climbed onto her bike herself but then only managed to go backwards!

Sport Day

Laura had her first Sport Day today. She's a bit concerned that she doesn't know how to DO sport! Perhaps she follows in her mother's foot steps - at the end of Year 12 I still didn't know how to DO sport, I had become very good at avoiding it though!

She was also unimpressed with the look of the sport uniform - a bit too daggy for her liking. She wouldn't have a bar of having the shirt untucked either, we'll see if she changes her mind about that.

Pa was visiting today and walked with us to school, Laura was very excited to introduce him to her teacher and show him the gigantic sandpit. She's already made friends and is quite pleased that they did some work yesterday.
